The Colorado Environmental Professionals Association | CEPA was established in 1992 to promote the local and surrounding area environmental remediation industry. CEPA provides regulatory and industry advocacy, information and education to Association Members, the local construction Industry and the public.
The CEPA membership is comprised of hundreds of companies and individuals who hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, while striving to protect public health and the environment.
Governed by a Board of Directors elected by the CEPA Membership, the organization navigates issues of the industry through appointed committees and working groups that focus on specific subjects relevant to the community we serve; Regulatory Affairs Committee, Communication and Website, Roundtable Topics and Discussions.
CEPA has established a long-standing relationship with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Air Quality Control Commission enabling ongoing communication and collaboration between the industry stakeholders and the community.
Sound business practices by the Colorado environmental remediation industry is a primary goal of the organization by promoting and educating Association Members to the Air Quality Control Commission’s Regulation 8, Part B that governs asbestos abatement and inspection/testing activities in Colorado and Regulation 19 that governs lead abatement and inspection/testing activities in Colorado.
CEPA is committed to the future of the environmental industry and funds two Norman Eric Peters Scholarships, named after a former CEPA Board Member and long standing industry leader.
CEPA supports the Colorado community as a contributor to The Shining Stars Foundation, a Colorado based organization that gives strength, support, and hope to children living with pediatric cancer or another life-threatening illness and their families through outdoor, social, and recreational experiences. To date, CEPA has contributed more than $25,000 through fundraising events.
