James Devalois | President

Kemwest

James R. DeValois is the president of KEMWest, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and has worked in the environmental industry since 1992. Mr. DeValois has been certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene since 2003. He specializes in fungal investigations and asbestos project management, as well as Indoor Air Quality and employee exposure monitoring. James is an avid home-brewer, a fair guitar player and a hack golfer.

George Robles | Vice President

M. E. Training

George Robles has been in the environmental industry since 2005. Throughout the years he has performed the task of worker , supervisor and project manager. George is Co-owner of Meridian Environmental which has been in business since 2015. Meridian is an abatement contractor for mold, lead and asbestos. George has been a CDPHE state approved instructor for worker and supervisor disciplines and has been teaching initial and refresher courses since December 2013. George has taught primarily for M.E. Training where he is owner and training manager. In 2019 George co-founded M.E. Workforce which is a temporary labor provider for the abatement and demolition industries throughout Colorado.

Matt Little, Treasurer

Matt grew up in Colorado, and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Environmental Health.  He enjoys running, camping, and hiking while exploring the beautiful country we live in.

 

Rob Schimberg | Past President

Colorado Cleanup, Inc.

Mr. Schimberg has over 20 years of experience in the Environmental Services Industry, as well as experience in General Construction, Demolition, Renovation, Waste Management, Hazardous Materials Packaging, Transportation, and Soil Remediation. Rob also has a large depth of experience in working Emergency Response Management Teams for Asbestos, Lead, Mold and Hazardous Materials.

Education: BA Chemistry Marquette University 1993

Bonnie Begert

Jefferson County School District

Bonnie manages the district asbestos program including removal, disposal, inspection, and sampling. Her responsibilities include performing periodic building inspections and three year re-inspections, record keeping, and management plan updates. Bonnie is also responsible for responding to indoor air quality concerns and investigating causes and developing solutions. Other responsibilities include lead and IPM programs, stormwater compliance, radon testing, site safety inspections, and hazardous waste management and disposal.

Mike Griffin

JKS Industries

Mike began his career in the environmental industry in 1991. With over three decades of experience, he brings deep expertise in environmental remediation, hazardous materials abatement, and emergency response operations. Prior to joining JKS Industries as the Remediation Division Manager, Mike served in key leadership roles, including EH&S Manager and Business Development at The Dow Chemical Company, General Manager of a nationwide abatement company, and as Owner and President of a successful Abatement company. His career reflects a strong track record of managing complex projects and regulatory compliance in high-stakes environments. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Chris Lehman

DS Environmental Consulting, Inc.

Chris has been in the environmental industry since 2007. Starting in environmental remediation, Chris has a unique perspective in industrial hygiene that has facilitated a wide range of skills. Specializing in client development, project management and excellent customer service that has created a passion for continual development. Chris possesses a strong knowledge of State and Federal regulations in a wide variety of environmental disciplines including asbestos, lead, mold, radon, hazardous materials, and safety. Chris attended Colorado State University with a BS in Business Management and an AA in Hotel / Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts. As a Colorado native Chris enjoys skiing and being outdoors, creating culinary delights, spending time with his wife and 2 beautiful daughters, and is a fanatic for all the local sports teams.

Emily Hamilton

Tasman, Inc.

Emily Hamilton is the Director of Estimating for Orion Environmental, LLC., where she leads a high-performing team of estimators and manages some of the region’s most significant remediation and demolition efforts. With over 15 years of experience, Emily is a technical expert and certified Asbestos Project Designer, specializing in navigating complex regulatory and permitting challenges with the CDPHE.

Her extensive portfolio includes overseeing high-stakes operations such as the DEN MOD 3 ($4M+), University of Colorado Boulder ($3M+), and the State of Colorado Annex ($3M+). Emily operates with a philosophy of “Under Promise and Over Deliver,” ensuring that Orion’s partners receive results that exceed expectations. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her son

Tim Wieser

Peak Environmental

Mr. Wieser has over 27 years of experience within the environmental industry. His specialties include planning, directing, and coordinating all field operations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources.

Debra Scifo

Executive Director

Debra is a managing partner of OBS Consultants, providing business development and organizational strategies to small to medium sized businesses. Debra has spent the last 20 years working with not for profit Board of Directors to develop value and grow resources for their representative industry and memberships. I believe that delivering the tools business needs is best accomplished through a trade association, they are the best community to deliver resources, benefits and services to the industry they represent.
